Cooperation of Lithuania and Armenia in Education
Ambassador Erikas Petrikas together with the delegation from Lithuania based LCC International University in Klaipėda, headed by the President of the University Marlene Wall, had meeting with Ms. Karine Harutyunyan, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science. The cooperation in the area of education as well as practical possibilities to enhance students’ mobility between two countries were discussed.
This year LCC International University is organising the 1st International English Public Speaking Competition in Armenia, to take place on 24 February in Yerevan. Around 50 pupils from schools from all over Armenia will participate in the competition. The winners of national competitions from Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, Albania, Latvia, Russia, and Moldova will then meet at LCC International University in Lithuania for the final round of the International Public Speaking Competition on March 29, with their travel expenses covered by the University. The final winner will be awarded a free semester of studies at LCC International University.
The competition in Armenia is supported by the Embassy of Lithuania in Armenia, US Embassy and American Councils. The competition is done in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia.
