On 19th March the concerts "Lithuania-Armenia: Friendship Bridges" dedicated to the 100th anniversaries of Armenian and Lithuanian Republics were held at art school named after Komitas Vanadzor, Armenia and the art school of Kaunas named after Mikas Petrauskas.
On 7 March in the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia a memorial room dedicated for Jurgis Baltrušaitis jr. and his studies in Caucasian architecture is being opened. Mr. Baltrušaitis (1903 - 1988) well known in Armenia for not only his studies in Caucasus region pastoral architecture, two books about Armenia and Georgia published in 1929 and 1936, but also as an author of the essay “Julfa of the Arax and its Funerary Monuments”. Writing captured thousands of khachkars (cross-stones) many of which have been destroyed and therefore the essay bears an even greater historic value.
The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Yerevan commemorated the 100th anniversary of the State Restoration organizing a concert of the Quartet from Lithuania “World Music Sounds” together with Armenian musicians.
Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia has received exclusive gift - namely, the photo of Marytė Kontrimaitė (1947 – 2016), famous Lithuanian poet, translator, Stasys Lozoraitis award winner, awarded “St. Grigor Narekatsi” medal and the honorary citizen of the Armenian city of Gyumri. The photo was taken at the Lithuanian Embassy in Yerevan, during Marytė Kontrimaitė last visit to Armenia in April 2015.
On the 21st May 2016 in Yerevan city (Armenia) the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Armenia together with the Municipality of Yerevan City had organized the 1st Street Music's Day (SMD) when every fan of the music was invited to sing and perform on the streets of the Yerevan city.
