A message from President Dalia Grybauskaitė

Dear Europeans,
The first Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union starts on the 1st of July.
Europe is going through tough times. We, Lithuanians, know exactly what it means.
We have survived a number of occupations, we fought for our freedom. And we never gave up, we never doubted the European path we have chosen.
We hope that our strong belief in Europe can be inspiring and catching for all Europeans.
Today we must understand clearly that only by joining the efforts of all European people we can make Europe stronger.
Only by taking the right actions in our everyday life we create our future.
That is why Lithuania will do it's best to achieve credible, growing and open Europe.
