First Lady of Lithuania met with the daughter of Armenia‘s President
On 19-20 April, the First Lady of Lithuania Diana Nausėdienė met with the daughter of Armenia‘s President Arpine Khachaturyan in the framework of the official visit of the President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan to Lithuania.
The First Lady together with the daughter of the President of Armenia visited the Neonatology Center of Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos, where the guests were introduced to advanced technologies for healthcare of premature newborns.
"Lithuania is proud to be among the leading European countries with one of the lowest newborn and infant mortality rates. The state increasingly invests in scientific progress, modern diagnostic and treatment methods, which allows more and more lives to be saved. However, I want to emphasize that even when applying the most advanced medical innovations, the contribution, dedication and compassion of our medical professionals remains the most important," said D. Nausėdienė during the visit.
The First Lady together with the daughter of the President of Armenia visited Pilaitė gymnasium. They were presented with innovations of the educational process as well as the gymnasium's educational spaces, the gymnasium's public territory with a bicycle track, skate park and playgrounds.
Mrs. Nausėdienė and Mrs. Khachaturyan also visited a nursery-kindergarten in Vilnius "Jurginėlis". STEAM education practice developed in this kindergarten, the spaces of robotics and creative engineering activities, interactive natural science exploration and others were presented to the guests.
