Grant in the field of renewable energy technologies

The Lithuanian Energy Institute is currently looking for an institution in Armenia willing to contribute to the development of a joint project application in the field of renewable energy technologies installation, financed by the Lithuanian Ministry of Environment.

The main idea of the project is to spread the experience and knowledge of Lithuanian researchers, manufacturers and renewable energy experts to certain countries in Eastern Europe, including Armenia. The priority in the project is given to the installation of a renewable energy power plant in partner’s institution or other suitable location. The installation of this demonstrational power plant (wind, PV, biomass etc.) could be accompanied by various information spreading as well as research and educational activities in your country and promoting wider use of renewable energy.

The project idea and main competence in this field is related to wind power, so the institute is thinking about the installation of a small scale (10-30 kW) wind turbine in the location the partner would select. Solar power plant also can be considered.

The most attractive part of this programme is that the installation, transportation and other related costs are covered by Lithuanian Ministry of Environment (up to 144 thous. EUR). Project duration – up to 18 months. So all what the institut need is just find the interested partner in Armenia, who would like to make use of this opportunity for their needs. Of course, own contribution is encouraged and would give advantage to the application, but according to the rules it is not obligatory.

The deadline for the applications is the 16th of December!
