Joint visa application center was officially launched in Yerevan

On the 24th September 2015 in Yerevan city (Armenia) the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania together with the Embassy of Hellenic Republic have officially launched the Joint Visa Application Center. At the official opening the chancellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Jūratė Raguckienė had noted that the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania and Visa Centre will successfully work together and will closely cooperate while accepting quickly and effectively the applications for Schengen visas.

Located in the strategic and central part of Yerevan city (Armenia) the new visa application center will offer proper conditions to the Armenian citizens to submit the applications for Schengen visas in one place and will provide easy accessible and user-friendly services to all travellers. At the moment Lithuania has 40 visa application centers in 9 foreign countries, and in Yerevan city, while representing in Armenia other Schengen partner states, Lithuania is issuing the Schengen visas also to Denmark, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia and Spain.

At the official opening ceremony Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Armenia Erikas Petrikas, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Armenia Ioannis Taghis, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Armenia, diplomatic community residing in Armenia, journalists and representatives of the touristic companies were present at the event.
