Lithuania stands ready to support Armenia's reforms in the area of labor and social security

On January 21, Lithuanian Ambassador Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė met with the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Zaruhi Batoyan. The cooperation between Lithuania and Armenia in the area of labor and social policy was discussed.

The Ambassador welcomed the successful cooperation and regular bilateral contacts between the Lithuanian and Armenian ministries and stressed Lithuania’s  interest  to contribute to the success of political and structural reforms in Armenia.

Lithuania is ready to share its experience within the framework of bilateral cooperation and through EU instruments in the areas of labor market, promotion of social dialogue, integration of people with disabilities into labor market and other areas of interest.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Z. Batoyan highly appreciated the cooperation with Lithuania. The Minister stressed that Armenia is currently implementing reforms in many areas, therefore the cooperation with Lithuania with similar experience of transformation reforms would be beneficial.
