Lithuanian Ambassador met with the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia
On 21 January, Lithuanian Ambassador to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė met with the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan. During the meeting, existing cooperation projects and future plans in the fields of labor and social policy formulation and implementation, opportunities to exchange experiences using bilateral or European Union (EU) instruments were discussed.
The meeting focused on cooperation in the areas of labor market, promotion of social dialogue, integration of people with disabilities into the labor market, children rights, equal opportunities and other areas of common mutual interest.
After Minister N. Mkrtchyan presented the prospective reforms in Armenia in the fields of labor and social security, Ambassador I. Stanytė-Toločkienė assured that Lithuania is interested in the success of Armenia's structural democratic reforms and is ready to support Armenia on this path. The Ambassador also emphasized that Lithuania is interested in providing technical assistance through the use of EU instruments in the implementation of these reforms.
