Lithuanian Ambassador met with the new Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the Armenian Parliament
On 7 September, Lithuanian Ambassador to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė met with the new Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of Armenia Eduard Aghajanyan. Bilateral cooperation, country's relations with the European Union (EU), Armenia's democratic reforms agenda, and the situation in the region were discussed during the meeting.
The parties also emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in building bridges between Lithuanian and Armenian civil societies, and discussing the relationship between citizens and parliament in Lithuania and Armenia, as well as the importance of EU-Armenia relations in the country's democratic reform agenda implementation.
During the meeting, I. Stanytė-Toločkienė and E. Aghajanyan discussed the history of Lithuanian-Armenian relations, emphasized the upcoming 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Armenia.
