Lithuanian Ambassador met with the newly appointed Foreign Minister of Armenia

On 3 September, Lithuanian Ambassador to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė met with the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan. Bilateral cooperation, democratic reforms in Armenia, country's relations with the European Union (EU), security situation in the region, and the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed during the meeting.

"30 years ago, our nations together stood on the path of restoring democracy and freedom, and today we strongly support Armenia on the path of democratic reforms and ensuring their sustainability", - said the Ambassador, as the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Armenia approaches.

Both sides also stressed the importance of further implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which entered into force on 1 March, 2021.

The Lithuanian Ambassador also presented the situation on the Lithuania-Belarus border.
