Lithuanian Ambassador paid a working visit to Armenia‘s Syunik region
On 11-13 April, Ambassador Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė and Deputy Head of Mission Vismantė Dailidėnaitė, together with the Head of EU Delegation to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin, the UN Resident Coordinator Lila Pieters and Armenia‘s Human Rights Defender Kristine Grigoryan, paid a working visit to Armenia‘s Syunik region, organized by UN Population Fund in Armenia.
In the scope of the joint visit, the group had meetings at Kapan and Goris Women’s Resource Center NGOs, where it also met with the representatives of the newly established Women's Resource Centers of Vanadzor, Berd and Gyumri, and had a chance to familiarize with the activities of the WINNET.
During the visit, the group also visited Armenia’s Human Rights Defender’s Syunik regional office to hear from representatives of several NGOs in Kapan about main security and humanitarian challenges in the region.
Finalizing the trip to Syunik, the group stopped by Goris Women’s Resource Center NGO founded social enterprise at Verishen Crafts Center to see the results of their activities and hear more about their current projects and vision for the future.
