Lithuanian Ambassador participated at the final certificate handing ceremony of the project “The High Quality Education for Rural Women”

On 22 November, Lithuanian Ambassador to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė participated at the final certificate handing ceremony of the project “The High Quality Education for Rural Women” in Armenia's town of Martuni.

More than 20 women participated in the courses of business planning and launching, English language, computer literacy and sewing. Ten participants belong to the families who had to leave their home in Nagorno Karabakh due to the war and now are staying in Martuni. Thus the project contributed to social and economical integration of Nagorno Karabakh people. The clothing production made during the courses is being successfully sold in the local market, as well as via the online shop.

The project was implemented by Martuni Women's Community Council, NGO and funded under the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme.
