Lithuanian Ambassador participated at the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Committee Library: Literature in European Languages"

On 24 September, Lithuanian Ambassador to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė participated at the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Komitas library: Literature in European Languages“, organized on the occasion of the European Heritage Days and the European Day of Languages.

In the special booth of European translations, Lithuanian Embassy also displayed some significant classic and modern Lithuanian books, translated to Armenian, as well as the translation of Grigor Narekatsi’s “The Book of Sadness” to Lithuanian.

The Ambassador also did the literary reading of the poem by one of the most prominent Lithuanian poets Maironis “From Birute’s Hill” (“Nuo Birutės kalno”).

We express our sincere gratitude to Felix Bakhchinyan for the translations made by him that were displayed in the exhibition (including the most recent one "The Spring Sonate" by prof. V. Landsbergis), as well as the former Armenian Ambassador to Lithuania Tigran Mkrtchyan for providing a beautiful new edition of G. Narekatsi.
