Lithuanian Ambassador visited the Lori region of Armenia
On the eve of Book Donation Day, which is celebrated in Armenia on the birthday of the poet Hovhannes Tumanyan - February 19, Ambassador Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė donated books by Lithuanian authors in English to the public library of the Lori region and the Gradarak library in Debet.
During her visit to the Lori region, the Ambassador visited “The Lithuanian Forest” planted at the outskirts of the city of Vanadzor in the spring of 2021, also met with the Deputy Governor of the region Gor Aseryan and visited the Vanadzor Art School after Komitas, which has been cooperating closely with the Kaunas Mikas Petrauskas School of Performing Arts. Possible cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources, bilateral initiatives in the field of culture were discussed.
The trip was finalized with a visit to an exhibition organized by the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (The Matenadaran) and the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF), where old manuscripts were presented to residents and guests of Lori using new technologies. The exhibition took place at the COAF Smart Center.
