Lithuanian puppet theater “LĖLĖ” tours in Armenia
On the 8th September 2015 H.E. Ambassador Erikas Petrikas had greeted Lithuanian puppet theater “LĖLĖ” in Vanadzor city of Armenia where Vilnius Puppet Theater “LĖLĖ“ had presented their popular play “Music box” based on the Vladimir Odoevsky's fairy tale “Town in a Snuffbox“ which was very warmly accepted by the youngest Armenian audience.
H.E. Ambassador Erikas Petrikas had also addressed the theater audience, and after the theater play had presented the children with the reflectors made in Lithuania while stressing the importance and the use of wearing them.
This year Vilnius Puppet theater took a part at the 10th International Festival of Puppet Theaters „Toumanian Fairy Tale Day“, traditionally held in Armenia in the first decade of September and hosting many puppet theaters from all over Armenia and foreign countries, including Lithuania, Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, Iran, Russia and others.
The next day H.E. Ambassador Erikas Petrikas together with the actors of theater “LĖLĖ“ had opportunity to meet Mr. Ruben Babayan, Vice-president of the festival „Toumanian Fairy Tale Day“ and Director of Yerevan State Puppet Theater, to whom Lithuanian Puppet Theater “LĖLĖ“ had presented a gift from Lithuanian puppeteers to Armenian colleagues - unique theater puppet, which will become a Lithuanian part at the International theater puppets’ collection at the Yerevan State Puppet Theater.
