Prime Minister: Lithuania is interested in strengthening relations and practical cooperation with Armenia
On September 16, Prime Minister of Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis has met with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan to discuss the bilateral cooperation and relations between Armenia and the European Union.
According to the Prime Minister, Lithuania is interested in developing practical cooperation, particularly with those countries with whom Lithuania has maintained close political ties.
To give a greater momentum to the bilateral economic relations, mutual efforts are required. Business missions may also step up the business relations. The Prime Minister has invited Armenian representatives to come to Vilnius to international conferences on financial technology and life sciences.
Much attention has been given in the meeting for the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union. According to Prime Minister Skvernelis, we support Armenia progressing towards the EU at its own pace. Lithuania stands ready to provide comprehensive assistance and share best practices in other areas requiring reform.
Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan has handed in an invitation to the Prime Minister from his Armenian Colleague Nikol Pashinian to visit Armenia in the near future.
