Representatives of Lithuanian higher education institutions visited Armenia
On 20 May, representatives of Lithuanian higher education institutions – Vilnius University, Mykolas Romeris University, Vytautas Magnus University, Klaipėda University, Vilnius Tech University, Lithuanian Sports University – visited Armenia in the framework of the official Presidential visit.
The academic representatives, together with the President's Advisor on Education, Science and Culture P. Baltokas, held a meeting with Deputy Ministers of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia A. Martirosyan and K. Trchunyan. Lithuanian delegation presented activities and priorities of the institutions they represented, interlocutors discussed existing and possible areas of cooperation in the field of higher education.
During the meeting with the Rector of Yerevan State University Dr. H. Hovhannisyan, the areas of activity of the represented institutions, as well as possible and existing directions of cooperation with the Yerevan State University were discussed.
The members of the academic delegation also paid separate visits to the various universities of Yerevan based on the interests of the universities they represented. During the visits, the members of the delegation had the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities and priorities of the universities, to establish partnerships and to discuss possible directions of cooperation.
