Representatives of the economic sectors of Lithuania visited Armenia

On 20 May, representatives of the economic sectors of Lithuania – Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania Egidijus Giedraitis and Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania Julius Skačkauskas – visited Armenia in the framework of the official Presidential visit. 

During the visit, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania Egidijus Giedraitis together with the Adviser to the President on Economic and Social Policy Vaidas Augustinavičius held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Arman Khojoyan. During the meeting, potential for expanding bilateral trade, as well as issues related to food industry, diversification of supply and expanding opportunities to enter new markets were discussed.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania Egidijus Giedraitis together with the Adviser to the President on Economic and Social Policy Vaidas Augustinavičius also met with the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia, where they discussed developing new opportunities for cooperation and bilateral interest in increasing the volume of foreign trade between the countries. The meeting was also joined by a Lithuanian businessman, operating in the field of logistics.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Julius Skačkauskas had a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Armen Simonyan. During the meeting, the development of the North-South Corridor, the opportunities arising from the direct Vilnius-Yerevan flight and other issues related to bilateral cooperation in the field of transport were discussed.
