The Government of Lithuania has allocated humanitarian assistance to Armenia to combat COVID-19
On May 14, the Lithuanian Air Force aircraft C-27J Spartan landed in Yerevan. A total of 0.75 tons of medical supplies was brought to Armenia - 10,500 medical protective face shields, manufactured in Lithuania. Humanitarian aid has been handed over to the Ministry of Health of Armenia and will be distributed to the hospitals and quarantine centers.
First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health A. Avanesyan and A. Adonts, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated at the official handover ceremony.
"We must help each other. The pandemic will not be defeated until all countries - individually and collectively - will not overcome this virus" said the Ambassador of Lithuania in Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė during the handover ceremony.
The Government of Lithuania has allocated humanitarian assistance to combat the COVID-19 virus to EU Eastern Partnership countries - Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
