The leaders of Lithuania congratulated their Armenian counterparts on the 30th anniversary of Independence
The leaders of Lithuania – President Gitanas Nausėda, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė, Speaker of the Parliament Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen – congratulated their Armenian counterparts on the 30th anniversary of Independence.
In their congratulatory messages, the leaders expressed proudness that Lithuania was the first to recognize Armenia's independence 30 years ago, also highlighted the 30th anniversary of Lithuanian-Armenian diplomatic relations we mark this year, as well as fruitful ongoing bilateral cooperation.
President, Prime Minister and Speaker of the Parliament also expressed unanimous support for the strengthening of ties between Armenia and the EU, especially in the framework of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, commended democratic achievements of the state, and expressed confidence in a sovereign, democratic and prosperous future of Armenia.
