The President of Lithuania congratulated the President of Armenia on the 104th anniversary of Republic Day
The President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda congratulated the President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan and the people of Armenia on the 104th anniversary of Republic Day.
Thanking the President of Armenia for the warm meeting during the official visit to Armenia earlier this month, the President of Lithuania highlighted that Armenia is an important partner in the Caucasus region and expressed his hopes that this visit will contribute to expanding bilateral dialogue and strengthening people-to-people contacts. The President also hopes that together both countries will give full support to Ukraine, which is fighting not only for its sovereignty but also for European values and democracy.
“Lithuania supports the European Union’s active Eastern Partnership policy and closer dialogue between Armenia and the European Union. I believe that strengthening cooperation ties and pursuing democratic reforms will contribute to your country's resilience, security, and social and economic prosperity. We are ready to share our experience as Armenia moves forward on this path”, - the President wrote in his congratulatory letter.
G. Nausėda also invited V. Khachaturyan to visit Lithuania.
