The President of Lithuania congratulated the President of Armenia on the occasion of inauguration
The President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda congratulated the President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan on the occasion of inauguration.
Noting that the President of Armenia is assuming office at an extremely difficult time for Europe and the whole world, when Ukraine is subjected to military aggression by Russia, the President of Lithuania wished his counterpart success and resolve in leading Armenia on the path of democracy and respect for human rights.
“The people of Lithuania and Armenia well remember the difficult road to independence. At this moment, the unity of all European countries is crucial for safeguarding European values and ensuring the security and peace for our people”, - the President wrote in his congratulatory letter.
Highlighting friendly bilateral relations between Lithuania and Armenia, Gitanas Nausėda also expressed his belief that closer cooperation between Armenia and the European Union would not only advance the well-being of the Armenian people but also contribute to the expansion of our bilateral dialogue.
