The second meeting of Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Armenia took place on 4-5th October in Yerevan.
Head of the Lithuanian delegation and the Chair of the Lithuanian side of the Commission - Minister of Economy Mindaugas Sinkevičius. Two intergovernmental agreements signed in addition to traditional bilateral protocol. The agreement on cooperation in the fields of labour and social protection signed by the Ministers of Social Security and Labour of both countries. The agreement on cooperation in the fields of physical education and sports signed by the Deputy Minister of Sports of Armenia and the Deputy Minister of Interior of Lithuania. Lithuanian and Armenian Deputy Ministers of Agriculture signed a joint action plan between ministries for 2018-2019.
Lithuanian delegation met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, Minister of Emergency Situations Davit Tonoyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Robert Harutyunyan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Armen Harutyunyan, Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Gabriel Ghazaryan, visited the Center for Creative Technologies, met with representatives of civil society and non-governmental organisations, had a media interviews and visited the Embassy.
