There is life after summit in Vilnius - Lithuanian Ambassador

Lithuanian Ambassador to Armenia Erikas Petrikas believes there is life after Vilnius summit of Eastern Partnership, and everything will continue in Riga.

During the public discussion on challenges and possibilities after Vilnius summit, Ambassador recalled that his Latvian colleagues will assume presidency of EU in the first half of 2015.

“I do not share the view that Armenia achieved nothing during 3.5-4 years of talks with the European Union,” he said, adding that official position is that the reforms, especially those based on European values, will continue.

Mr. Petrikas noted that Lithuanian FM as a chairperson of EU is trying to help Ukraine find the way out of the current situation.

“We have two weeks of chairmanship ahead, and although we have formally transferred the presidency to Greece, we continue the efforts and the meetings with EU leaders till New Year may show tangible results,” he added.
